Deutsch-Polnischer Filmfonds fördert die Entwicklung von „Krux“

In ihrer aktuellen Förderrunde haben die Filmförderungsanstalt, das Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, die Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung und das Polnische Filminstitut die Projektvorbereitung des Historiendramas „Krux“ mit 41.200 Euro gefördert.
Das gemeinsame Projekt der Berliner CALA Filmproduktion GmbH („Licht“, „Jelinek“, „Klandestin“) und der Extreme Emotions aus Łódź ( „Cold War – Der Breitengrad der Liebe“, „Ida“) erzählt die Geschichte des Niedergangs einer vorpommerschen Dorfgemeinschaft kurz vor Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Die Dreharbeiten für das Projekt von Autorin und Regisseurin Ulrike Tony Vahl sollen Anfang Juni 2023 starten.
Ziel des Deutsch-Polnischen Filmfonds ist es, die Kooperation und den Austausch zwischen polnischen und deutschen Produzent*innen zu stärken. Erfolgreiche, durch den Filmfonds unterstützte Projekte sind z.B. der Dokumentarfilm „Das Hamlet-Syndrom“ von Elwira Niewiera und Pjotr Rosolowski sowie „Der Masseur“ von Malgorzata Szumowska, die beide auf internationalen Festivals zahlreiche Preise gewonnen haben.
Der nächste Einreichtermin für Anträge auf Entwicklungs- oder Produktionsförderung für deutsch-polnische Filmvorhaben wird Anfang nächsten Jahres bekannt gegeben. German-Polish Film Fund supports the development of "Krux"
In their current meeting, the German Federal Film Board (FFA), the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM), the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) and the Polish Film Institute (PFI) have supported the development of the historical drama "Krux" with 41,200 euros.
The common project by Berlin-based CALA Filmproduktion ("Licht", "Jelinek", "Klandestin") and Extreme Emotions from Łódź ("Cold War", "Ida"), which specialises in historical material, tells the story of the decline of a village community in Western Pomerania shortly before the end of the Second World War. Filming for the project by author and director Ulrike Tony Vahl is scheduled to start in early June 2023.
The German-Polish Film Fund aims to strenghten cooperation and exchange between Polish and German film producers. Acclaimed projects supported by the Film Fund include the documentary "The Hamlet Syndrome" by Elwira Niewiera and Pjotr Rosolowski and "Never Gonna Snow Again" by Malgorzata Szumowska, both of which received critical acclaim and won numerous awards at international festivals.
The next submission deadline for applications for development or production funding for German-Polish film projects will be announced early next year.
